Information to the Contributors

Call for Abstracts

Researchers, Scientists, Academicians, and Scholars are invited to submit original, unpublished research abstracts across twelve scientific disciplines to be a part of this endeavour.

Who Can Contribute?

- Any Indian national studying or working as a research scholar, scientist, academician, student in any recognized, registered government or private colleges, universities, or research organizations located in the state.

- Permanent residents of West Bengal who are studying or working as research scholars, scientists, academicians, students in any recognized, registered government or private colleges, universities, or research organizations located outside the state

Region of Participation

Authors can choose to submit their work based on:

  1. The region of their institution (where they are affiliated), or
  2. The region of their permanent residence.

Guidelines for Abstracts submission

  1. Abstracts must be written in English, within 250 words, and strictly following the prescribed format.
  2. Each author will be able to submit only one abstract.

Format Essentials

  1. Title: Times New Roman, Bold, 14 font size, to be written in proper case.
  2. Author(s) name: Times New Roman, Italic, 11 font size.
  3. Affiliation(s): Times New Roman, Italic, 10 font size.
  4. Presenting Author: Marked with * and email in Times New Roman, Italic, 9 font size.
  5. Abstract Body: Times New Roman, Plain, 12 font size.
  6. No references or keywords allowed.
  7. Page: A4 size, with margins – Left 6 cm; Other sides 5 cm.
  8. Both the word and PDF files are to be uploaded to the website for the completion of registration.

Submission Process

  1. Prepare the abstract using the provided template (link).
  2. Upload both Word (.doc/.docx) and PDF versions for registration.
  3. Abstracts exceeding the word limit or not in the format will not be considered.

Scientific Disciplines for Submission of Abstracts

Research Abstracts need to be submitted under any of the following disciplines :

  1. Physical Sciences ;
  2. Chemical Sciences ;
  3. Mathematical Sciences including Statistics ;
  4. Engineering Science and Technology ;
  5. Earth Sciences including Geoinformatics and Hydrogeology ;
  6. Botany ;
  7. Zoology ;
  8. Biotechnology ;
  9. Physiology and Medical Sciences, including Forensic Sciences ;
  10. Environmental Sciences including Climate Change ;
  11. Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Fisheries and Veterinary Sciences ;
  12. Information and Communication Science and Technology (including Computer Sciences) ;

Selection of Abstracts

Submitted abstracts will be peer reviewed by a panel of eminent Scientists/Academicians. The similarity check of the submitted Abstracts will be primarily done through anti-plagiarism software with AI detection capabilities.

Review & Presentation

  1. All abstracts will undergo peer review and plagiarism check through proprietary software.
  2. Shortlisted authors will be invited for an audio-visual presentation at the Regional level.
  3. Presentation Time: 12 minutes (8 minutes for the presentation and 4 minutes for questionnaires).
  4. Language: Authors may present in English or the vernacular.
  5. The best three papers in each discipline will be awarded at the Regional level.
